Bonsai rock is an iconic location in Lake Tahoe that I’ve been frequenting to photograph. I have been going to this location for a few years looking for the right timing and colors for the best photo. This day was finally one of those days that tested my patience. Tahoe was in the middle of a storm cycle that was piling up on the mountains and almost every road making it difficult to get in location. Luckily I was able to get into location and watch the sky open up for just a few minutes at lake level. Every direction other than the one you see here was in complete snow heaven.
This is one of the largest prints I have available, which is up to 6 feet wide and can be found here.
